Since 1923... A Guest Ranching Tradition at the Entrance to Canada's Rocky Mountains.
In 1923 Missy Bagley Brewster opened The Kananaskis Guest Ranch to guests from around the world. She decided that the original Brewster Family homestead located on the shores of the Bow River at the entrance to the Rocky Mountains would be the perfect location to continue a guest ranching tradition originally started in Montana.
Today the mountain setting is as it was and guests can still experience the Brewster family tradition of Western Hospitality. Just as they did in the 1920's, visitors to the Kananaskis Guest Ranch enjoy western barbecues, horse back rides along the Bow River and overnight horse trips. In addition, an 18 hole golf course, wild west rodeos, river rafting, canoe trips, fishing and team-building programs are just a few of the adventure activities available to our guests.
The Kananaskis Guest Ranch is a great place to gather groups for any occasion. From business to pleasure, our all-inclusive packages include: Weddings, Reunions, Private Rodeos and, the family specialty, Western Barbecues held in the famed "DONUT" tent. We can handle groups of up to 1000 people depending on the event.
